Certification Request

Prior to requesting certification, please look at the Class Schedule Guidelines page. Once you have finalized your registration, complete the Request to Certify Form. We cannot certify your class enrollment to the VA without this form, so make sure to complete it each semester / term.

Timeline

Request to Certify Forms are processed within 2 weeks in the order they are received. Contacting the Office of Financial Aid does not change this date or expedite the processing. It is your responsibility to ensure proper and timely submission of your Request to Certify each semester / term. While late Request to Certify Forms can be certified, it does not guarantee that financial holds will be removed from your student account.


Certification Request Process

  1. WAIT a full 48 hours after you register or after any changes (e.g., add/drop, advisor exceptions) are made in before submitting this form. If you do not wait, you will have to redo the form and it will delay your certification.
  2. Classes may show as being not in plan. Even if they do not show in plan, submit the form, and a School Certifying Official will check your eligibility.
  3. You must submit a VA Change Request Form if you make any changes to your class schedule. Keep in mind that changes from your original submission may result in having to owe back money to the VA and/or Chaminade University.
