Advising at a Glance
Advising goes beyond simply choosing classes. It’s a partnership based on open communication and shared goals. In the Marianist spirit of “educating the whole person,” advising helps you connect your educational decisions to your personal and professional aspirations.
Advising is also a space to explore opportunities beyond the classroom. Whether you’re interested in clubs, Study Abroad or Away programs, or other co-curricular experiences, your advisor is here to help.
Your Role
To get the most out of your appointment, come prepared. Review your degree plan and reflect on your academic, personal, and professional goals. Be on time, whether your appointment is in person or online, and stay involved in the conversation.

Your Advisor’s Role
Your advisor is a partner and trusted resource. They can help you navigate your degree plan and connect you with the people, programs, and services that support your success, such as the Counseling Center for counseling services and Kōkua ʻIke: Center for Student Learning for ADA accommodations and career, proctoring, and tutoring services.
From declaring your major, to registering for courses, to registering for graduation, you will receive guidance that respects your academic, personal, and professional goals and aligns with FERPA standards.
Four-Year Graduation Guarantee
Through comprehensive degree planning and academic advising services, we’re here to help you finish your bachelor’s degree in four years.
