Welcome to Kōkua ʻIke: Center for Student Learning, located in the Student Services building. We are committed to supporting the success of all Chaminade students—undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral—by providing a study space and one-on-one and group tutoring.
Our ADA Coordinator, Tutor Coordinator, and Career Pathway and Success Coach are all located in Kōkua ʻIke: Center for Student Learning. Appointments are encouraged.

Tutoring
We provide one-on-one and group tutoring in English, math, nursing, sciences, social sciences, and more. To request tutoring:
- Complete the Tutoring Agreement.
You must complete the Tutoring Agreement every year you get tutored. - Sign up for a Reservio account using your name (with correct capitalization) and Chaminade email, then sign in.
- Under In-Person Tutoring or Zoom Tutoring, find a tutor.
- Click Book.
- Select a date and time.
- Click Continue.
- Provide the name of your class and the focus of the appointment, e.g., “EN 101, essay on the positive and negative effects of the internet.”
- Click Confirm Booking.

Pear Deck Tutor
Pear Deck Tutor provides online, on-demand tutoring. It is free for Chaminade students, and it is a great option when we do not provide tutoring in a subject you are interested in. To request tutoring through Pear Deck Tutor:
- Click Canvas Student Single Sign On to access Canvas.
- Click Account.
- Click Pear Deck Tutor.
- Click Connect with a Tutor.
- Select a subject.
- Describe your problem.
- Click Submit. You will be connected with a tutor within 30 seconds.
ADA Accommodations
