Academic Coaching: Skills for Success Beyond the Classroom
Both undergraduate and graduate students can work with one of our experienced Tutors and Academic Coaches to build skills that extend beyond the classroom. Academic coaching helps you develop effective SMART goals and study strategies, manage your time with intention, and balance academic, personal, and professional responsibilities.
Flexible, Supportive Learning Spaces
We offer both in-person and Google Meet tutoring and academic coaching sessions to fit your schedule and learning style. In-person sessions occur in Kōkua ʻIke, a reduced-distraction study space designed to facilitate focus, invite questions, and make learning approachable, manageable, and welcoming.
If you are an Early College student, an undergraduate FLEX student, or a graduate student who does not attend our Kaimukī campus, and your preferred Tutor and Academic Coach does not offer Google Meet sessions, please contact our Tutoring and Academic Coaching Services Coordinator at [email protected] or (808) 735-4770. We’re here to help you access the support you need to succeed.
Get Started with Our Services
Meet with the Tutoring and Academic Coaching Services Coordinator
Visit Stellic and sign in using your Chaminade ID and password. Once signed in, locate the Quick Links section. Click Appointments, then click Schedule. Under Host, enter the name of the Tutoring and Academic Coaching Services Coordinator, referring to the Office of Student Success Contact Us page if needed. Select a session type, date, and time, then click Schedule to confirm your appointment.
If you cannot book an appointment through Stellic, including if you are a newly admitted student and do not yet have full account access, please contact the Tutoring and Academic Coaching Services Coordinator at [email protected] or (808) 735-4770. We will assist you directly and ensure you receive the support you need.
Meet with a Tutor and Academic Coach
Visit Reservio. If you’ve already created a Reservio account for Kōkua ʻIke purposes, sign in. Otherwise, sign up using your name (e.g., John Doe) and @student.chaminade.edu email address (e.g., [email protected]). Navigate to the Tutoring and Academic Coaching Services page. Select a Tutor and Academic Coach, then click Book. Select a date and time, then click Continue. Enter any helpful details, then click Continue to confirm your appointment.
Events
We offer workshops throughout the year to support your academic success while balancing your personal and professional commitments. Workshops are facilitated by our experienced Tutors and Academic Coaches and include hands-on activities and guided discussion.
Upcoming workshops are posted on Handshake and the campus events calendar. All workshops are held in Kōkua ʻIke, located across from Eiben Hall. Reservations are not required. Drop in as you are!
