Next Steps
Now that you’ve been accepted to Chaminade University, follow the steps below to officially join the Chaminade ‘ohana. Then, once you’ve secured your spot (deposited) at Chaminade, follow the next steps to get ready for life as a Silversword. Your dedicated admissions counselor will be with you every step of the way as you become a Silversword.
Make sure to check your personal email for any admissions updates—from your application status to upcoming events.
Your Chaminade student ID can be found in your application portal, under the “Next Steps” tab.
Review your “Application Status” tab in your application portal for required documents, acceptance letter and financial aid award.
All students should submit their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)!
Filing the FAFSA is your key to financial support for college—including grants, loans, and work-study opportunities. Be sure to include Chaminade University’s school code (001605) so we can receive your FAFSA and build your personalized financial aid award.
Meet with a Financial Aid Counselor—they’ll walk you through available resources, answer your questions, and review your cost of attendance or financial aid award.

If you’re thinking about living on campus, check our resident halls. (First-year students are not required to live on campus.)
You’re invited to a fun on-campus event where you’ll learn about the Silversword experience and meet the Chaminade ‘ohana. Can’t make it, schedule a campus visit.

After submitting your deposit, you’ll receive an email with instructions. Your Chaminade student Gmail account is official way we’ll communicate with you.
Your student ID number gives you access to Chaminade platforms, resources, and important information. Look for your ID number and password details in the email sent after you submitted your deposit.
We encourage you to apply for housing early, as space is limited.
You’ll find your financial account, class schedule, and other important information.
Review your Financial Aid Cost Estimate or Award in your Slate student portal.

High school students: Submit final official high school transcript (showing graduation) and any AP, IB, or dual enrollment/college transcripts.
Transfer students: Submit final official copies of all college transcripts not previously sent with your application.

Took AP, IB, CLEP, or Early College courses—or have transferring credits? Make sure submit your final documents to us, and then request an official evaluation.
Join the GroupMe and start connecting with your fellow Fall 2026 Silverswords—make new friends before classes even begin!
All students need a University ID card. Your ID is used to check out library items, access facilities, attend events, receive services, and use your meal plan. Check your Chaminade email for instructions on how to request your ID card online—and skip the lines!
Review student health and immunization requirements. Health forms are due prior to the start of the academic year.
Your Academic Advisor will create your Fall Term schedule. You’ll receive an email once it’s complete and can then view it in your Self-Service Portal.
Join us for NSO—where we’ll help make your transition to Chaminade University as smooth as possible. (All new students are required to attend.)

New Student Orientation
August 2026
Welcome to the Chaminade ‘ohana! At New Student Orientation (NSO), you’ll meet faculty, connect with fellow Silverswords, and learn about resources, services, and opportunities to support your transition.
Financial Aid
If you haven’t submitted your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), make sure to do so, and include Chaminade University code: 001605. FAFSA helps determine your eligibility for need-based scholarships and federal grants, work-study and loans.
Connect with a Financial Aid Counselor to review your financial aid award, then accept or decline your award. If you’re a first-time borrower, complete the loan entrance counseling and master promissory note.


Residence Life & Housing
Be at the heart of it all—living on campus allows you to meet fellow Silverswords, create lifelong friendships, enjoy residential activities, and enhance your college experience. Explore the different residence halls. Housing is limited, so you’re encouraged to apply early.

Meal Plans
Meal plans and Debit Dollars are available to residents and commuting students. The Silversword Café is home to the freshest flavors with all-you-can-eat meals, while the P.O.D. offers a hot bar, salad bar, and grab-and-go options. A meal plan is required if you live in on-campus resident halls.


Prepare for Tuition Payment
Your first bill will be emailed to you after July 1. Tuition, room and board, and fees must be paid before the start of the semester. If you have any questions about student billing, contact the Business Office at (808) 735-4711 or [email protected].
