Ho‘omaika‘i ‘ana (Congratulations)! We are excited to welcome you and your family to the Chaminade ‘ohana. At New Student Orientation (NSO), you’ll meet with faculty, connect with fellow Silverswords and learn about the many resources, services and opportunities available to you, making your transition to Chaminade as smooth as possible. Our program is designed to prepare you for academic rigor and introduce you to our traditions and values.

NSO is mandatory for all new first-year, transfer and exchange students.

New Student Orientation

PARKING

Parking is FREE and will be available in our Parking Structure and on Upper-Campus. Please follow the Admissions Event and Parking signs upon arrival to campus, or ask any employee wearing a Neon Yellow Vest!

CHECK-IN

Check-in will begin prior to the start of New Student Orientation. Please refer to your confirmation email for details.

Nursing Students: Nursing Orientation begins 2 hours before New Student Orientation. Please refer to the schedule below for your arrival time. Following Nursing Orientation, you’ll transition directly into New Student Orientation and participate in the remainder of the day’s programming.

Begin your day by checking in, enjoying breakfast, and attending Nursing Orientation. You’ll meet nursing faculty, learn about your program, and prepare for the semester before joining the rest of the incoming class for New Student Orientation and the day’s remaining activities.

* Parents and family members will attend a separate Nursing Parent Program during this time.

Because now, not only is your student apart of our Chaminade ‘Ohana, YOU ARE TOO!

Saint Louis Field | Lower Campus

Admissions: FREE! Head over to lower campus to cheer on our Women’s Soccer team. They play Saint Michael’s at 2:00 p.m.

Wrap up your day with a special welcome dinner at the Silversword Cafe. No meal plan is required, just bring your appetite and enjoy a meal with fellow Silverswords before classes begin!

Kapiolani Community College – Parking Lot B | Honolulu (1.7 Miles from Campus)

The KCC Farmers’ Market is one of Oʻahu’s most popular Saturday morning destinations, bringing together local farmers, food vendors, and artisans in the shadow of Diamond Head. Visitors can shop for fresh island-grown produce, tropical fruits, flowers, locally made products, baked goods, coffee, and a wide variety of ready-to-eat dishes while supporting Hawaiʻi’s local agriculture and small businesses.

Kick off your weekends at the Kaka‘ako Farmers Market. Every Saturday from 8am – 12pm, vendors from across O‘ahu are sharing the bounty of Hawai‘i.
