New Student Orientation is the ultimate on-campus transition experience designed to welcome all new students, like yourself, to campus before the start of classes

Ho‘omaika‘i ‘ana (Congratulations)! We are excited to welcome you and your family to the Chaminade ‘ohana. At New Student Orientation (NSO), you’ll meet with faculty, connect with fellow Silverswords and learn about the many resources, services and opportunities available to you, making your transition to Chaminade as smooth as possible. Our program is designed to prepare you for academic rigor and introduce you to our traditions and values.
NSO is mandatory for all new first-year, transfer and exchange students.

PARKING
Parking is FREE and will be available in our Parking Structure and on Upper-Campus. Please follow the Admissions Event and Parking signs upon arrival to campus, or ask any employee wearing a Neon Yellow Vest!
CHECK-IN
Check-in will begin prior to the start of New Student Orientation. Please refer to your confirmation email for your check-in time, location, parking information, and other important event details.
Nursing Students: Nursing Orientation will take place prior to New Student Orientation. Please review your confirmation email for your Nursing Orientation schedule and arrival instructions.

Convocation + Welcome McCabe Gymnasium Our university president, administrators, faculty, and staff in welcoming you and your ‘ohana to Chaminade. We’ll kick off the new academic year with a special blessing as we celebrate the start of your exciting journey. |

STUDENTS ONLY Session #1 | Follow your Orientation Leader Various Locations Stay with your Orientation Leader and small group as you get to know your fellow students and explore campus through interactive activities, conversations, and guided experiences. PARENTS & FAMILY Session #1 | Holding On & Letting Go Eiben Hall, Ching Conference Center Hear from Chaminade faculty and staff who have walked this journey with their own children, sharing stories, tips and real experience of holding on with love while learning to let go with trust. |

In this session, we’ll engage in meaningful activities and conversations about encouraging your student as they grow and find their place at Chaminade. Connect with fellow families, share experiences, and discover ways to stay involved while letting your student thrive. Go off campus and explore our stunning city of Honolulu and take in the beautiful island of O’ahu and check out some of the amazing events happening in the area!

Pearl Ridge Shopping Center | Aiea (11.7 Miles from Campus)
The Pearlridge Farmers Market is held every Saturday from 8 AM to noon in the Pearlridge Center parking. It features a vibrant mix of local produce, handmade goods, and delicious eats like fresh fruit, waffles, honey, and more. With live Hawaiian music, plenty of parking, and a relaxed atmosphere, it’s a perfect way to start your weekend.

The Koko Marina Makers Market pops up every 4th Saturday from 10 AM to 3 PM at Koko Marina Center in Hawaii Kai, offering a lively mix of over 70+ local vendors selling crafts, artisan goods, and tasty treats. You can expect live entertainment, family- and pet-friendly vibes, and the perfect chance to support small businesses. It’s totally free to attend, just swing by and enjoy a fun community-focused Saturday outing.
