Amber is the Assistant Provost for Undergraduate Research and Pre-Professional Programs at Chaminade University of Honolulu. She holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Cellular Biology and Certificate in Molecular Medicine from the University of Washington. She has over 13 years of experience in higher education as an advisor and adjunct faculty at both 2 and 4 year institutions, in addition to pre-college advising at the high school level. She is responsible for developing and overseeing programs that promote undergraduate research opportunities and support students pursuing pre-professional pathways in health professions, law, and business. Her role involves strategic planning, program development, partnership building, and resource management to enhance the academic and professional success of undergraduate students. Amber grew up in Chinatown on the island of Oʻahu, is a first generation college student, and was the first in her family to pursue a graduate degree. She is passionate about supporting students to achieve their career and life goals.
