Dr. Smith has been a faculty member and leader in nursing academia for over a decade and has maintained an active family nurse practitioner practice for 18 years. Dr. Smith serves on multiple state-wide nurse leadership committees, actively peer reviews proposals for publication or presentation, and teaches in the graduate nursing program. She is currently active as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the virtual urgent care setting.
