Biography
Dr. Baez has a Doctorate of Psychology in Clinical Psychology and a Master of Science in Health Psychology from Mercer University College of Health Professions in Atlanta, Georgia. She also has a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University of Florida. Dr. Baez completed her internship at the Texas Tech University Health Science Center in El Paso, Texas. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at The Pacific Islands Health Care System at the Department of Veteran Affairs in Honolulu. She has experience with a variety of populations (e.g., veterans, domestic violence victims, LGBT individuals, patients with complex medical comorbidities) in individual and group therapy, implementing DBT, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for Depression, and CBT for insomnia and chronic pain. Her primary areas of interest are in health psychology, integrated health care, and LGBT health.
