On October 18-20, Chaminade University will host an accreditation visit by the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP). In preparation for the visit, the AAQEP Quality Review Teams are soliciting public comment about the quality of educator preparation provided by the initial teacher preparation programs and the school counseling program. All comments must be submitted by September 20, 2023, through the AAQEP website: Submit Comment

Teacher Education Accreditation Council
The Education Division at Chaminade University of Honolulu is awarded Teacher Education Accreditation Council (TEAC) accreditation by the Inquiry Brief Commission of the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) for a period of seven years, from 10/24/2016-12/31/2023. The accreditation does not include individual education courses that the EPP offers to P-12 educators for professional development, re-licensure, or other purposes.

The Master of Science in Counseling Psychology, School Counseling program is accredited under the Teacher Education Accreditation Counseling (TEAC) Quality Principles, which is now served by the single specialized accreditation system for educator preparation in the United States, the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).
