Take classes online while faculty mentors guide you through a curriculum that connects theory to practice and prepares you to design learning experiences that empower students, teachers, and communities. You’ll be able to apply what you learn immediately in your classroom, school, or district.
Program Details
K-6 Structured Literacy Certificate
The Certificate in K–6 Structured Literacy is a 15-credit program for educators seeking to strengthen their expertise in teaching reading and writing. Grounded in the science of reading, the program focuses on literacy theory, assessment, and evidence-based instructional strategies for immediate classroom application.
Upon completion and passing the KPEERI exam, you’ll earn a graduate certificate, with a 15-credit pathway into the MACIL program for those who wish to continue.
You also have the opportunity to earn your MACIL and K–6 Structured Literacy Certificate concurrently.
