Michelle Pierce OHPAUR

Ms. Michelle Pierce came to Chaminade from Eureka, California. Michelle grew up in a multicultural family – her mother grew up in Peru. Michelle excelled in her classes and thrived in the diverse environment of Chaminade. As a freshman, Michelle took a rigorous load including Biology and Chemistry and was one of our outstanding freshmen. She continued to excel and is remembered as an enthusiastic and conscientious student. In addition, Michelle held leadership roles including the Biology Club President.

In her sophomore year, Michelle was accepted to the Boston University Early Medical School Selection Program. Through this program, Michelle spent two summers and her senior at Boston University where she was immersed in a range of enrichment and academic programs.

Michelle entered Boston University School of Medicine in August 2013 – one of 165 new medical students. There were 11,780 applications for Boston University School of Medicine’s class of 2017.

Her mother reports that her younger cousins in California and Peru look up to Michelle as a wonderful role model.
