Understanding NIH’s overall structure and the foundation of the agency’s grants process is vital to successfully applying for NIH funding. To help you on this journey, the NIH invites you to participate in a two-part webinar designed to help inform and clarify important elements from application preparation to award. OSP recently held an informative workshop on Friday February 28, 2025 to discuss funding opportunities, led by Dr. Helen Turner.

Workshop: Streamlining Proposal Submissions with eGrants (October 17th 2025)
Navigate today’s challenging research funding waters by learning to use eGrants, Chaminade’s new grants management system, This hands-on workshop will guide faculty and staff through proposal development and approval, helping them sail smoothly toward successful submissions.

Workshop: NetVUE (November 21 2025)
In this interactive workshop, Dr. Rachael Baker introduced the concepts and questions of vocation, helping participants reflect on how their work contributes not only to student success but also to fostering meaning, purpose, and community on campus. Faculty and staff explored how vocation connects to Chaminade University’s mission, discovered examples of how institutions bring vocation to life, and considered ways to integrate these ideas into their own teaching, mentoring, and professional practice.
The session also included an overview of NetVUE’s institutional and individual grant opportunities for vocation-related projects, making this workshop especially valuable for those interested in pursuing external funding or professional development in this area.
