“Early childhood education is the key to the betterment of the society.” We couldn’t agree more with Dr. Maria Montessori, whose theories of early childhood education are just as relevant today as they were more than a century ago. Her belief in the power of putting children at the center of their learning experiences is what underpins the Montessori Certificate Program at Chaminade, aimed at preparing early childhood Montessori educators.
The certificate delivered online and through on-campus summer sessions, includes a theoretical foundation in the Montessori approach, along with considerations of culturally appropriate practices and a student teaching practicum.
Our faculty members are leaders in their fields. They believe in the power of personal experience—stressing mentorship, collaboration and project-based learning inside and outside the classroom.
