Biography
Dr. Leahna Barton is the Practicum Director and an Assistant Professor at the Hawai‘i School of Professional Psychology at Chaminade University of Honolulu. She received her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from the Hawai‘i School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Redlands in California. She completed her internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the Family Service and Guidance Center in Topeka, Kansas. Previous work experiences include working in community mental health centers both in Kansas and Hawai‘i. She has served on multidisciplinary teams and supervised doctoral students, interns, and postdoctoral residents. She also worked in private practice providing assessment and therapy services to children, adolescents, and adults in individual, couples, and family therapy.
