Our Faculty

Each faculty member within the Department of Marriage and Family Therapy supports the mission, goals, and learning outcomes of the Doctor of Marriage and Family Therapy (DMFT) program as well as the Marianist mission and values of Chaminade University of Honolulu. While our educational backgrounds represent diverse disciplines, we share a common respect for and belief in systemic-relational thinking and evidence-based practice.

This commitment is demonstrated through our active participation in reviewing and voting on program policies, curriculum design, and accreditation processes. Faculty are engaged in ongoing scholarship, including presentations and publications, that advance the field of Marriage and Family Therapy. In our clinical practice, teaching, and supervision, we advocate for and model a systemic-relational perspective that emphasizes cultural humility, service, justice, and peace. Together, we foster the professional development of students as advanced clinicians, educators, supervisors, leaders, and researchers who embody adaptation and change in service of their communities.
