Biography
Dr. Jolene Young is an Assistant Professor at the Hawaiʻi School of Professional Psychology at Chaminade University at Honolulu. She earned her B.A. in Psychology at Pepperdine University and her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology at the Hawaiʻi School of Professional Psychology at Chaminade University.
She completed her internship and postdoctoral fellowship at I Ola Lāhui. Dr. Young has supervised doctoral level psychology and masters level clinical social work students in providing evidenced based behavioral health services that meet the needs of underserved, rural, and Native Hawaiian communities. She has interests in interdisciplinary primary care, health psychology, child and family psychology, and culturally mindful, trauma-informed care. Her research interests have recently been focused on program evaluation and assessing the efficacy of services provided to high need and high demand communities.
