General Transfer Admissions (non-nursing)
TRANSFER ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS & CHECKLIST
- Earned or attempted 16 or more* semester hours of college credit (after high school graduation)
- *If the applicant has attempted or completed 15 or less semesters of college credits, the applicant will be considered a credit-bearing freshman. View the next section for requirements.
- 2.00 Cumulative GPA or above
- Coursework from non-accredited institutions will not be evaluated or counted for credit.
- Transfer Cumulative Grade Point Averages (GPA) will be calculated from all accredited institutions. Non-accredited institutions will not be counted toward admission review.
- TOEFL or IELTS scores – If English is not your first language
- PTE – Minimum score of 53
- Duolingo – minimum score of 95
- TOEFL – Minimum score on the TOEFL–IBT is 79.
- IELTS- Minimum score of 6.5

Chaminade University offers transfer admission to our traditional four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

- Earned a grade of “C” or better in the following college courses:
- Math 100 or above (no statistics)
- Chemistry
- Biology
- TOEFL or IELTS scores – If English is not your first language
- PTE – Minimum score of 53

FALL TERM – DATES & DEADLINES
Applications for the traditional BSN are only accepted for the fall term.
Application Deadlines
Priority: December 1
Final: April 15
Decision notification date
Rolling, until enrolled spaces are filled. If spaces are full, traditional nursing apps will be put on a waitlist.
Tuition deposit deadline
Students offered admission to the BSN are encouraged to submit their $200 enrollment deposit as soon as they receive their admissions decision, in order to confirm their space in the cohort. Admission spots are limited, and once filled, accepted students who have not yet committed will be placed on a waitlist.
