The Master of Pastoral Theology (MPT) Permanent Diaconate Education Certificate provides the academic and pastoral preparation required for ordination as a permanent deacon in the Roman Catholic Church. Through a rigorous course of study, you’ll deepen your understanding of Scripture, theology, philosophy, and Catholic tradition while developing the practical skills needed to serve your parish and community.
Explore homiletics, pastoral counseling, stewardship, and ministry, preparing you to accompany others in faith and respond to the needs of the communities you serve.
Please note: This Certificate is open only to those accepted as candidates by the Diocese to formation for the permanent diaconate.
