Chaminade’s International Business minor gives you the knowledge and skills to understand how financial, economic, political and cultural forces shape business around the world. You’ll explore how organizations operate across global markets while developing the cross-cultural communication, critical-thinking and business skills to work effectively in an increasingly connected world.

Whether you’re interested in business, government, nonprofits or international organizations, you’ll gain a global perspective that can set you apart.

Upon completion of the International Business minor, students will be able to:

  1. Apply knowledge of the cultural and social issues in a business situation to recommend a marketing strategy that incorporates appropriate responses to cross-cultural differences.
  2. Formulate appropriate integrated business strategies based on an evaluation of the economic policies of countries, regions, and international institutions.
  3. Synthesize key cultural, political, and economic dynamics of a selected nation or region in developing solutions to business challenges.
  4. Evaluate the ways in which adaptation and change are necessary to pivot in response to a rapidly-changing international business environment for a given country.
