A Communication minor gives you the skills to craft messages, connect with audiences, and tell stories across platforms. Explore communication theory, media, storytelling, writing, and public speaking while developing the creative and critical thinking skills to communicate with confidence. Pair your Communication minor with any major—from business and psychology to science and the arts—to stand out in a world where how you communicate matters.

Upon completion of the Communication minor, students will be able to:

  1. Apply knowledge of communication theory to diverse audiences.
  2. Adapt and use communication tools appropriate to individual differences.
  3. Analyze the history, values, commitments, and ethics of the communication profession.

Minor Requirements

  • 12 credit hours of COM 300–400 level courses
