Employees, students, and recognized organizations of the University who have completed the certification process with the Office of Student Engagement may use the vans for University-sponsored functions and activities.
Please Note: Only individuals affiliated with Chaminade University (students, faculty, staff) will be allowed to ride in or drive University Vans.
How to become Van Certified?
1. Complete the Van Operation Certification Form via Silver Source.
2. Upon approval of this form and receipt of all required documents, the Student Engagement Coordinator will contact you via email to schedule a certification road test. You may not schedule a road test without prior approval from the Student Engagement Coordinator. All road tests are conducted by the Director of Campus Safety.
*Individuals with major infractions (such as a DUI) will not be allowed to drive University Vans.
How to make a Van Request?
Van requests are made online on the campus portal. It is recommended you view the Van Reservation Calendar for van availability prior to submitting your request. Van requests must be submitted at least seven business days in advance.
*Recognized student organizations must provide the event confirmation number given to you after your event is approved on Silver Source. *You may receive your EVENT PIN from the Admin. tab on Silver Source – Events – Events PIN on the right of your screen.
