Chaminade’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program is a direct-entry, four-year lock-step degree that requires all students to maintain full-time status. Our values-based approach incorporates strong community partnerships and individualized mentoring. With experienced faculty, a robust support network, and an innovative curriculum, we prepare you for the diverse and ever-evolving healthcare sector—equipping you with the experiences needed to make a positive difference in the lives of your patients.

The School of Nursing and Health Professions has been granted full accreditation by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (ssih.org) from October 2025 through December 2030.

 Clinical courses are an integral part of the curriculum and mandatory for all students. Our partners require health compliance including being fully vaccinated (with boosters) before starting clinicals. At this time, there are no options for completing the nursing program without this compliance.

Health compliance may include but not limited to*: 

  • Current seasonal flu vaccination
  • 2 Step TB skin test or Blood test or a History of TB Chest Xray + screening form.
  • Most current COVID-19 vaccination 

*Please note that health compliance requirements are subject to change and may involve additional testing or paperwork depending on the clinical facility’s policies. 

Sophomore Seat placement will not be available for the Fall 2026 admission cycle.

Upon completion of the undergraduate B.S. program in Nursing, students will be able to:

  1. Utilize the nursing process to advocate for safe, holistic, patient-centered care across the lifespan, incorporating the Marianist value of service, justice and peace.
  2. Apply leadership and communication skills to ensure quality, collaborative, and continuous patient care.
  3. Integrate credible research with clinical expertise and patient preferences for optimal care across the lifespan.
  4. Incorporate informatics and healthcare technologies into the practice of professional nursing.
  5. Contribute to the safety and quality improvement of the healthcare environment.
