An important note: all commencement and graduation correspondence will be sent via graduates’ CUH email. Graduates should check their CUH email on a regular basis.
Deadline to apply for graduation: Friday, February 23, 2024
- To complete Graduation Application via Self Service and for graduating students to have their name included in the May 2024 Commencement program.
Deadline to order regalia (cap, gown and tassel) online: Friday, March 1, 2024
- For graduating students who ordered their cap, gown and tassel online by March 1, 2024: Regalia is now available for pick up at the Campus Bookstore. You do not need to call the bookstore to confirm. The Campus Bookstore is open M-F, 8:30am-4:30pm.
- For graduating students who did NOT order their cap, gown and tassel online prior to the March 1, 2024 deadline: Regalia is expected to be available late this week (4/15/24). We will notify graduates when regalia is available at the Campus Bookstore and update this page. Please do not call the store unless you have a question about some other issue.
Deadline to register to audition for student speakers:
- The window to apply for student speaker (optional) and audition for the May 2024 ceremony is now closed.
Deadline to complete registration and name recording via MarchingOrder: Friday, April 8, 2024
- Graduates–please check your @student.chaminade.edu email accounts for more information on how to complete this registration. This process allows you to record the pronunciation of your name so that it can be accurately read at the ceremony.

Graduating Student Checklist
Here’s a checklist for graduates who plan on attending the Commencement ceremony:
Before Commencement on Saturday, May 4, 2024
- Complete graduation application (should be done before February 23, 2024)
- Purchase cap, gown and tassel
- The deadline to order your regalia online has now passed.
- For graduating students who ordered their cap, gown and tassel online by March 1, 2024: Regalia is now available for pick up at the Campus Bookstore. You do not need to call the bookstore to confirm.
- For graduating students who did NOT order their cap, gown and tassel online prior to the March 1, 2024 deadline: Regalia is expected to be available late this week (4/15/24). We will notify graduates when regalia is available at the Campus Bookstore and update this page. Please do not call the store unless you have a question about some other issue.

- Decorate your cap following the guidelines (optional).
- The deadline to order your regalia online has now passed.
- Make sure you have your Commencement ceremony tickets.
- Each graduating student will receive ten guest tickets. Tickets will be mailed directly to graduating students who elected to participate in the Spring 2024 commencement ceremony in their graduation application. Tickets were mailed out the week of April 8, 2024.
- Figure out what you’re going to wear under your gown and what kind of shoes you’re going to wear.
- Please keep in mind that the ceremony is being held at an outdoor venue.

- Give your guests their tickets and other useful information. Please double-check which word is on the ticket (“Graduate” or “Guest”) and make sure you have the correct ticket to enter the venue.
- Ten guest tickets will be issued per graduate.
- Children ages 3 and younger do not need their own tickets.
- Register online at GradImages (optional)
- GradImages will be taking photographs during the commencement ceremony and will make them available for purchase following the ceremony.

On Saturday, May 4, 2024:
- Check-in at the Waikiki Shell between 3:30 p.m. and 4:15 p.m.
Make sure to bring your graduate ticket with you!
Only bring what you need. Keep in mind, there is no storage for your personal belongings.
- Graduating students will check in alphabetically by last name.
- Bachelor’s graduating students who are graduating with certain Latin Honors will receive a gold honors cord.
- Master’s graduating students should bring their hood with them, and should be wearing their hood when they arrive.
- Doctoral graduating students will be awarded their hoods on stage.
- Wear your cap, gown and tassel. Remember you must wear clothing under our gown. For more details, visit the Academic Attire page.
- Following the ceremony, you can meet all of your guests (ticketed and non-ticketed) right outside of the Waikiki Shell, in a designated area of Kapiolani Park, for lei giving.

Check your student.chaminade.edu email for something from StageClip (optional)
- This free service is offered to graduates who walk in the Commencement ceremony.
