Mrs. Kristy Iwahashi-Marquez was born and raised on the island of Oahu and graduated from Pearl City High School. While at Chaminade, Mrs. Iwahashi-Marquez was an exceptional athlete and a member of Chaminade University’s women’s soccer team during her four years at the university. She also served as the Captain of the soccer team from 2011-2013. While balancing both academics and athletics, Kristy found time to work on campus at the Office of Student Opportunities. Kristy was the fortunate recipient of the Chaminade Reagent Scholarship and Athletic Scholarship.
Mrs. Iwahashi-Marquez was also highly engaged outside of campus. She served as a volunteer coach for the American Youth Soccer Organization and also volunteered at the nursing home facilities at Leahi Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii. In May 2014, Kristy graduated from Chaminade University of Honolulu with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology.
During the summer before her senior year, Kristy participated in the Podiatry 3D workshop at Samuel Merritt University and fell in love with the campus and faculty. In January 2014, Mrs. Iwahashi Marquez was accepted to the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, California, and will begin Podiatric Medical School in Fall 2014.
