NURSING

Slider

Our Nursing degree program immerses students in “the life of a nurse” from day one, enrolling students in community outreach projects and supervised clinical experiences designed to develop the whole person professionally—mind, body and spirit.

Along the way, students receive mentorship, state-of-the-art learning tools and robust academic advising.

Our accredited program, aligned with national academic standards, also offers students an educational foundation in the humanities and sciences, and fosters an attitude of intellectual and critical inquiry that promotes evidence-based, cutting-edge practice.

In other words, we’re here to prepare nurses-to-be for an ever-changing, dynamic health care system —and a singularly rewarding and incredibly fulfilling career.

Nursing (B.S.)

Upon completion of the undergraduate B.S. program in Nursing, students will be able to:

  1. Patient-Centered Care: Utilize the nursing process to advocate for safe, holistic, patient-centered care across the lifespan, incorporating the Marianist value of service, justice and peace.
  2. Collaboration: Apply leadership and communication skills to ensure quality, collaborative, and continuous patient care.
  3. Evidence-Based Practice: Integrate credible research with clinical expertise and patient preferences for optimal care across the lifespan.
  4. Informatics: Incorporate informatics and healthcare technologies into the practice of professional nursing.
  5. Quality Improvement: Contribute to the safety and quality improvement of the healthcare environment.
