TutorMe is a free, online tutoring service available 24/7 to all Chaminade students accessible via their Canvas account.

Through TutorMe, you can connect with a live tutor in over 300 subjects in less than 30 minutes. The Writing Lab provides students with the ability to receive a detailed, personalized critique of any writing assignment within 12 hours.

All sessions are archived and available for students to review at any time for studying or test preparation.

Accessing TutorMe Online Tutoring

  1. Access Canvas
  2. Click on your Profile
  3. Click on TutorMe
  4. Click on Connect with a Tutor to get to the Home page

Video: How to Submit a Paper on Writing Lab

If you have questions about grammar, style (APA or MLA), organization or just have general questions about writing, then choose Writing (All Subjects) in the Drop-In Tutoring area.

This option can also support you with pre-writing activities such as brainstorming, outlining or thesis development.

If you have a completed draft of your paper ready to submit for review, submit it to the TutorMe Writing Lab by selecting the Writing Lab choice. A professional writing tutor will give you the help that you need to improve your paper and your overall writing skills. The tutor’s response will arrive within 12 hours.

Connect with a live tutor by clicking the green box labeled Connect With a Live Tutor. Then select your subject in the drop down menu or type in the subject in the box. TutorMe offers tutoring in over 300 subjects. 

After you identify your subject area, you will be asked to describe your problem or assignment.  You also have the option of uploading a file such as an image or assignment to provide more context. Once you hit the Submit button, TutorMe will use AI technology to search over 1,000 verified tutors to find the right match for based on your problem. TutorMe matches you with a qualified tutor within 30 seconds or less!

  • Internet Connection: 56k or greater (3 mbps for Audio / Video)
