A native of Guam, Mr. Kevin Ruaro entered Chaminade University of Honolulu as a freshman in the fall of 2011. As a freshman, Mr. Ruaro distinguished himself from his peers by taking a rigorous load of courses that included both biology and chemistry. Following his Freshman year, Mr. Ruaro participated in the Summer Medical and Dental Education Program at the University of California at Los Angeles. While at Chaminade, Mr. Ruaro was also an exceptional athlete and a member of Chaminade University’s Cross Country team during his three years at the university.
In the spring of 2013, Mr. Ruaro was accepted into the prestigious Boston University Early Medical School Selection Program (EMSSP). Upon acceptance into the program, Mr. Ruaro spent the summers after his sophomore and junior year at Boston University taking classes for his bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry. Mr. Ruaro is currently a senior, and, as part of EMSSP, is spending his senior year studying at Boston University. He plans to graduate with his degree in Biochemistry from Chaminade University in the spring of 2015. Upon successful completion of EMSSP, Mr. Ruaro will matriculate into the Boston University School of Medicine and will be a part of the graduating medical class of 2019.
