Dr. Bernhard was born in NJ and moved to Germany when she was 6 years old. She relocated to Hawaii in 2005. Dr. Bernhard joined Chaminade University of Honolulu in December 2021. She has over twenty years of experience in nursing education and critical care. She has worked as an ICU nurse at Tripler Army Medical Center and the Queens Medical Center providing care to critical care patients. Dr. Bernhard has instructed BSN and MSN students as well as coordinated a FNP program. Her instructional focus has been Medical/Surgical courses, Pathophysiology and Pharmacology, Health assessment, and NCLEX Preparation.
