Biography
Matthew Higgins is an architect, interior designer and educator. From 1991 to 2009 he was design director of Higgins Gardner & Partners, a London-based architectural practice with an international reputation in the field of cultural facilities design. Examples of the practice’s work can be found in the United Kingdom, Dubai, Oman, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. In 2009 he established Coda Projects LLC, a research practice that explores the boundaries between architecture, design and the arts. In addition to its architectural work the firm also undertakes the design of contemporary furniture and prefabricated structures.
Matthew has taught interior design at the University of the Arts (London), the University of California (Davis), and San Diego State University where he was program director for five years.
