Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) Program
Through Chaminade’s CNA program, you will learn the fundamentals of nursing and caregiving techniques—gaining knowledge and skills through theory, hands-on learning and practice in the classroom and nursing labs. Our experienced Registered Nurse instructors will serve as your mentor and support you throughout the program.
There are multiple start days to fit your schedule. Upon completion of Chaminade’s CNA program, you will be eligible to apply for the Certification Examination.
Certified Nursing Aides (CNA) are valuable members of the health care team, working collaboratively with LPNs and RNs in a variety of settings—hospitals, clinics, assisted living centers, rehabilitation centers and homes. CNAs help patients with basic care including bathing, feeding, hygiene, transportation, checking vital signs, cleaning rooms, wound care and documenting information.
While CNA is often considered an entry-level position, it is a foundation that will prepare you for other healthcare professions.
