Orientation is designed to ease the transition to the Chaminade community and provide a foundation for your academic and social success. You will learn about vital campus resources as well as the opportunities available that supplement and enhance educational experience. You will make connections to many of the services and people, including fellow students, who can enrich your overall experience at Chaminade. You will also have an opportunity to visit the business office, financial aid, academic advising, and the bookstore.
Yes, attendance is mandatory on Friday, August 16th for all First-Year, Transfer, and Exchange Students. Events on other days are optional, but you are strongly encourages to attend
- Comfortable clothing and walking shoes. (Orientation programming is held in various buildings across campus and walking is required during your session.)

Sessions for parents and family members run concurrent to the student sessions. While the sessions take place at the same time, most of the two program activities are separate.
Chaminade University of Honolulu offers accommodations for all actively enrolled students with disabilities in compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, and the ADA Amendments Act (2008).
Students are responsible for contacting Kokua Ike: Center for Student Learning to schedule an appointment. Verification of their disability will be requested through appropriate documentation and once received it will take up to approximately 2–3 weeks to review them. Appropriate paperwork will be completed by the student before notification will be sent out to their instructors. Accommodation paperwork will not be automatically sent out to instructors each semester, as the student is responsible to notify Kokua Ike via email at [email protected] each semester if changes or notifications are needed.
Chaminade students and ‘ohana (family) are allowed to park in stalls marked “CUH” on campus or in the parking structure. DO NOT park in stalls marked “SLS” or any blue reserved stalls. Violators will be towed at their own expense.
