Navigating your life during college is a lot like navigating your life after college. You begin with enthusiasm, but also with anxiety facing hopes for the future but also fears of the unknown. In the end, you muster the determination to take the abilities you have built from the past and apply them to the present to build new opportunities for the future.
As you go, things seem easier and the path ahead grows clearer. You gain confidence and establish routines. You build community; explore interests and opportunities; develop new; deeper relationships and have impacting experiences.
You become YOU. Each year of college prepares you for future interactions and uncertainties. You will find motivation to face and overcome the unknown as you go from assignment to assignment to graduation then job to job in your career.
College also gives you opportunity to navigate a journey of self-discovery and renewal as you develop pre-professional skills and abilities. Your pursuit of educational goals coincides with pursuing career plans. As you move from college to career, you grow and develop into a professional. You, however, are more than a job or a title. You are uniquely and wonderfully made (Ps. 139:14), which means you are destined for importance and an impact.
Chaminade promotes experiences to help you with finding your way. Our intent is to help you make the most of your time inside and outside of the classroom. We are here to prompt you to reflect on both your educational and experiential development to prepare you for a life of meaning, significance, and purpose.
We hope to help you consider the contributions you can uniquely bring to the many facets of life you will encounter.
