Opportunities for tutoring/mentoring are available in Papakolea, a Native Hawaiian Homestead community.

Responsibilities
Help youth (generally grades K-5) with keiki activities and homework at the Lamaku drop-in center.
Hours
Shifts may be scheduled within the 2:30–5:30 time frame on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Specific times will be confirmed at Orientation.
The center will be open throughout the fall term, except during fall break (October 8–12).
During the spring, there may be shifts available for returnees ONLY. Contact your previous site supervisor/s to inquire about returning.
Orientation
Intake for this program is only offered during the fall. (During the spring, service-learning is exclusive to NUR291 students and returnees.)

No RSVP is needed. Be sure to bring your Connection Form for a signature (this is accessible after completing the online registration for service-learning.)
Although orientation is on campus, your service site is located at 2150 Tantalus Drive, Papakolea Community Center (at Papakolea Park) first-floor library. Ample free parking is usually available on the street.
