Each Chaminade University undergraduate student is eligible to be considered for grants from the federal government. You must complete and submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine if you qualify. Grants are considered gift aid, meaning you don’t need to pay back any of it. Listed below are the federal grants available through Chaminade University of Honolulu:
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)
This grant is only available for undergraduate students and is based on the student’s EFC (Estimated Family Contribution) after filing the FAFSA. Priority for the FSEOG is given to students who receive Pell Grants.
Federal Pell Grant
This grant is available to undergraduate students only and is based on your EFC (Estimated Family Contribution), so be sure to file a FAFSA to see if you qualify. The amount you receive will depend on your:
- Financial need
- Cost of attendance
- Status as a full-time or part-time student
- Plans to attend school for a full academic year or less
