Biography
Dr. Rick Trammel has a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Arizona State University and a Master’s Degree in Business with an emphasis in International Management from the Thunderbird Graduate School of Global Management at Arizona State University. He teaches Psychopathology, Lifespan Development, Addictions and Substance Use Disorder, Human Sexuality, Industrial Organizational Psychology, and Advanced Practicum. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Dr. Trammel is a licensed psychologist and works with the chronically and seriously mentally ill at the Hawaii State Hospital. Furthermore, he works with inpatients with addictions and mental illness, and he works in forensics and psychosocial rehabilitation with patients being restored to competency for criminal offenses. Dr. Trammel also presents at professional conferences in the areas of suicide prevention, addictions, LGBT populations, and child and adolescent development. In addition, Dr. Trammel remains current with the research literature in psychopathology, addictions, sexuality and industrial psychology by attending professional workshops and through continuing education curriculums.
