Incorporate career planning into your classroom or organization by requesting a presentation on a variety of career topics. Requests are granted on a first-come, first-served basis and requests should be submitted at least one (1) week prior to the date requested.
All presentations are designed to last 30-40 minutes. To learn more about presentations offered, please contact us at (808) 735-4815 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Interview Preparation Assistance
Advising and Career Development is happy to extend interview preparation assistance to faculty who may provide/require practice (mock) interviews as a part of their course(s). Our office is able to host interviews, keep record of student attendance (if needed) or we can come to a location designated by the faculty member.
To request assistance in this area, please contact us at (808) 735-4815 or email@example.com. Assistance will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Requests must be submitted prior to or within the first three (3) weeks of the current semester. We will do our best to accommodate all submitted requests.
Due to limited staff availability, if a faculty member wishes to have their students complete a practice (mock) interview as a required assignment, it is strongly recommended that students are being encouraged to schedule their interview as soon as possible and are provided with a minimum of four (4) weeks to complete their interview.
Services are provided primarily in-person and are appointment based, with the exception of identified walk-in services. If an in-person appointment is not a feasible option, services may be provided through alternative means (phone, Skype, email).
The Office of Advising and Career Development offers training on our new platform Big Interview. Staff and faculty may use this to prepare their students for interviews. For more information on training, please contact us at (808) 735-4815 or firstname.lastname@example.org. You may explore our platform here:Chaminade University Big Interview.
Note: It is highly recommended that faculty have Advising and Career Development come in and present on Interviewing Skills prior to assigning their students to complete a practice (mock) interview.
